I offer a free initial consultation to my clients. During the consultation I will evaluate the dog to understand where the dog's strengths and weaknesses are. I will also discuss with the owners what difficulties they are having with the dog and what goals they would like to achieve. The quality of a dog’s performance
reflects not only the quality of the training, but the
quality of the trainer as well. A dog that is not obedient
or attentive does not have top quality training. A dog that
is attentive, performs a command the first time the command
is given, and carries it out thoroughly, has top quality training.
When a trainer trains a dog, that trainer is essentially signing
their signature on that dog, since the dog’s performance reflects
the quality of the trainer and the training.
Once a solid foundation of basic obedience is established, dogs can learn more advanced obedience such as commands in motion, distance commands, and down on a recall which is demonstrated by Phantom in this video.
